Brock, Texas, is conveniently located just south of Interstate 20 about 11-miles southwest of Weatherford. This rural, city is about 35-miles from Fort Worth. Brock is currently home to about 100 residents, and several State Football Championships!
A gentleman named John Henry Brock bought a tract of land here in 1870s. In 1880, a cotton gin and a mill were built by Brock and his partner Willie Brannon closes to Grissom Springs. The Brock post office opened in 1888, and within a few years the community included a general store, a blacksmith and other vital businesses. By the beginning of the new century, the population swelled to about a hundred. At one point in the 1940s, only a couple of dozen people still lived in Brock. In recent years, the community has exploded, becoming the new home of a certain number of commuters as the metroplex expanded more into Parker County.
Parks and Recreation

Attractions and Activities
The Canyon West Golf Club is just northeast of Brock. Many tees are elevated; from these tee boxes golfers can soak in panoramic views of Parker County. This scenic, championship layout measures 6,653-yards from the back tees. Water hazards and white sand bunkers contrast with the lush green Bermuda grass fairways. This public course plays to a par of 72.
In the past moreso than in the present peach orchards dotted the countryside. Today, the Parker County Peach Festival honors that heritage in the historic district of Weatherford. Live music is a key component of this annual festival, the largest of its kind in all of the United States. Many eagerly anticipate the unique "Peach Pedal Bike Ride," a very special part of the festival.
